Florida MEP Launches New and Improved Website
Site Features Important Links and Resources, Success Stories and Economic Impacts
Celebration, FL - The Florida Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Florida MEP) is excited to announce the launch of its new user-friendly website: www.floridamep.org. The site offers information on the types of assistance the Florida MEP offers, including Time Wise Solutions®, a performance-based training system which has a direct impact on a manufacturer’s bottom line, as well as upcoming events and links to the organization’s partners and resources.

“Our new website is a one-stop information base for our current and potential clients and partners to use as a resource,” said Peter Weymouth, Director of Operations of the Florida MEP. “This site is easy to use and provides a clear representation of what we do, what services and solutions we offer and success stories from companies that have benefited from our programs.”

In addition to information on programs and trainings, the site also displays the latest news from the Florida MEP through press releases and videos, as well as provides a place for manufacturers to sign up for workshops and lectures.

“Another unique feature on the site is up-to-date information on the positive financial impact the Florida MEP has had on its clients. Clients are surveyed by an independent third party survey company to determine the economic impact resulting from their relationship with the MEP program. The data will be updated on a quarterly basis,” added Weymouth. “We’re excited to show these statistics, as they are just another testament that demonstrates how the Florida MEP’s partnership with manufacturing firms helps them strengthen and grow while maximizing their profit.”

The Florida MEP is an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) under the U.S. Department of Commerce. The national MEP is a network of manufacturing extension centers that provide business and technical assistance to smaller manufacturers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Through MEP, manufacturers have access to more than 2000 manufacturing and business “coaches” whose job is to help firms make changes that lead to greater productivity, increased profits, and enhanced global competitiveness.
