Florida MEP to Host Media Tour of Mobile Outreach Skills Training Unit
Unit Trains Out-of-Work Floridians and Places Them in Jobs
TALLAHASSEE, FL - The Florida Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) will showcase its state-of-the-art Mobile Outreach Skills Training (M.O.S.T.) traveling training unit in Tallahassee on Tuesday, October 6.
The M.O.S.T. unit offers onsite job training and mentoring that typically results in participants securing a job interview at the end of the two-week training session. This statewide program consists of practical skills, theory and hands-on curriculum that utilize a process of both computer-based 3-D simulations and hands-on self-paced training modules.
Media is invited to join House Speaker Larry Cretul and Rep. Ellyn Bogdanoff as they climb aboard and tour the M.O.S.T. unit on Tuesday, October 6 at the State Capitol Plaza from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. to observe demonstrations of the training equipment and lessons. Additional tours times are available to interested media.
